Another excellent 'Blockhead'!

I really love your work - so effortlessly you seem to move the characters and with a delightful charm you apply humour to the series. I have no doubt you will continue to make quality 'Blockhead's and good luck with all your animations. I know as a Flash animator/programmer the effort it takes to produce something like this; so well done!

The-Swain responds:

And I did the whole thing in a week, too! But that was after numerous script toss-outs, and I worked 30 hours straight from Monday afternoon to Tuesday night without a break just to get it done. That's what I call "power animating", haha.

Not bad :)

Ok, first things first, I like Muse a lot, so 'Starlight' was probably edging me towards protecting this Flash. However, there is definitely potential here with decent use of tweening. The graphics could do with work, and you really have to compress the sound file (search 'OMFG!: A Flash Tutorial' in NG Search for help on that), but for a first 'experimentation' and an attempt in Flash it wasn't bad at all.

Coincidentally, I submitted a movie called 'BACON? 2: Requiem' yesterday, with 'Plug In Baby' by Muse as the soundtrack. Check my profile for that, I think as a Muse fan and flash artist you'd enjoy it.

6.7/10 - good attempt

Thanks for the review! I looked at Bacon? 2: Requiem and I thought it was really good! I am going to try and aim to get to your standard of animation and graphics! :P

I have to say from viewing quite a lot of your stuff over the years, that you are a very talented artist, perhaps one of the most underappreciated artists on Newgrounds. Really good work on this movie, solid graphics, cool music/craziness added and it works well.

It was sooooooo short ZOMFGBBQPWNZORWTFBRBLMAO!!!!!111111

Again...

... another great short little animation thingy. They're great because the quality of the animation (I don't know if it was fbf or tweening or both!) was fantastic, the music was catchy and the voices were well crafted. Make something else I enjoy and you'll on our favourites here at SCPUK :)

Wonchop responds:

Hehe, it was mostly tweens, but I few in some hints of fbf for good measure.
Thank Egoraptor for the music.

TMSTROFLMAO!

Brilliant... The graphics looked pretty average at first but the style in which the whole movie took shape was so awesome with the 'Worms' like environment and background, that it fitted together really well. The selection of sounds and music you use are so well selected that it adds a whole dimension to your work - where you actually feel as if the music fits really, really well.

You have once again justified your inclusion in my favourite authors - great work! :D

TmsT responds:

Ahh yes, Worms was one of my favourite games back in the day... I bet there are plenty of "Worms" movies on Newgrounds (and other places) by now.

I loved it!

Brilliant style... what a huge damn improvement from #3! I loved the way Blockhead is just so carelessly random, but I can tell that to make it funny you've clearly thought about it! I have to ask - did you use any .gifs at all in that for backgrounds and stuff? I could see you'd drawn the wood (it was really wood-like!), but like at the beginning the psychiatrist's from outside?

Anyway great work... I'll put it on my faves, and although they need sortin' out - this will definitely stay!

The-Swain responds:

Well, I didn't draw the gravestones or mausoleum in the intro, but I didn't think I'd have to. Everything else was mine. All other non-flash backgrounds are by me, but in Photoshop.

Also, I'm glad you liked it!

Lovin' It.

Short and sweet. There's nothing more too it, but it works wonderfully well, the humour and randomness of it all fits in well, with the new Flash 8 techniques you were experimenting with (I guess!). I like your logo too... altogether, good stuff from Wonchop :)

Wonchop responds:

I've got a newer one, I just haven't been arsed to replace it.

Wow.

I remember watching 21 O' Clock Street The Movie and thinking "this is amazing, it shows that the clock crew is capable of producing great things".

This was better. With the element of parody attached, Lord Of The Rings fans I'm sure will like this, and so will the Clock Crew and it's admirers.

I am no big fan of Lord Of The Rings or general Clock Crew movies, but this truly is a Flash movie of the highest order. Animated very well, with thought and graphics that look great and smooth and well planned movement, from an artist's point of view like myself, I appreciate the effort that you have put in, and this end result. The voice of the narrator added a lot too, and the clever use of colours and style really made this a good movie, and I really would like to see all of the following movies to come.

This movie not only shows your great skill as a Flash artist, but the huge boost to the Clock Crew that your movies will be.

Thanks for a great movie :)

StrangeClock responds:

Thank you for a great review <3

Have...

a review crew pick :D I like your style, it's pretty cool, and I enjoyed the other collab.

Xionico responds:

thanks, i hope i do get review crew pick =D, but seeing that LF also posted his flash, that will be hard...ill check how much score it has

WOW!

The song is great! The animation is great! It is a proper old-school 'Gorillaz' style music video. I loved it. The screenplay was brilliant, and you have inspired me to finish my huge pile of projects, because if they make an impression only half as big on some Flash artists, it will be a success. The backgrounds are cleverly simple, but fantastic with the characters and objects above them. I write this as I watch it a second time, and wow, that blurring quick moving effect at the beginning is so cool, I'll have to experiment with that. In fact the only 'bad' thing I can say is the replay button was a bit off centre, but it didn't take away the overall brilliance of this true music video.

professor-fate responds:

It was deliberately off centre, but I'll remember that for future reference. Thanks alot!
